Hyderabad, the capital city of Andhra Pradesh, is provided with a number of transport options. The city is linked with other cities in the subcontinent and beyond by extensive network of roads, railways and airways. The road transportation is convenient for smaller distances like while travelling within the city or to neighbouring cities. Present in the city are two major stands, Imli Bun Bus Stand, and the Jubilee Bus Stand.

Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station [MGBS] earlier known as Imlibun (means forest of tamarind trees). Imlibun is a bus station in the southern part of Hyderabad, India.It is unofficially known as Imlibun bus station. This bus terminus is situated at Imlibun island on the Musi river and is owned by Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC). It is accessible by two major and two minor road bridges,[1] though only one is accessible.[2] It is the fifth largest bus station in Asia. Many buses from other states like Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu,arrive at this bus station daily.

Secunderabad is also one of the major hub for the City Bus transport run by the AP State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) and is well connected to all the corners of both Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Major bus stations are the Jubilee Bus Station and Rathfile Bus station handling thousands of commuters everyday.The Jubilee Bus Stand is meant for longer distances and provides service to the neighbouring districts and states of Hyderabad city.

APSRTC is operating on 1201 buses on 476 inter-state routes connecting important towns in the neighbouring states Vizag, Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Maharashtra, Orissa, Chattisgarh, Goa and union territory of Pondicherry:
